Recently my son picked a recipe from Bakerella's website and we had a fun time making this lovely chocolate cake!
The ganache was very good.
The base for the recipe of the chocolate cake is a box mix. And while the cake was good, it wasn't great. But it definitely looks incredible!
And it did get eaten. So, I repeat, it was good!
Have you ever tried substituting melted butter for the vegetable oil in a cake mix? I was just wondering if that might give the box mix a richer flavor. I'll try that next time! Or if you've tried, let me know the results.
Your quilt is coming along nicely - I wish I was as far on my Star Trek quilt I've been working on for about 3 years now! Hey I'd eat that cake in a heartbeat!
